Spartan Worship

The movie 300 is possible the most manly movie ever made (although kudo’s must be given to Gladiator and Braveheart).  These dudes are pretty much the stuff.  They are the baddest fighting force the world has ever seen.  What other army has gone undefeated for almost 5oo years.  You know why the Spartans were unstoppable?  Yes they had good armor and weapons, but so did others.  Yea they were extrodinarily brave, but other men were brave too.  They understood the key. To be the best in the world at what they did, it had to become their life.  The Spartan ate, slept and breathed war.  At age 7 the boys were seperated from their families and placed in a “pack.”  Here they were taught the art of warfare and received extensive physical training.  Upon reaching the age of 20, they were allowed into the army, and placed under the training of one of the senior warriors.  At age 30 they were given full rights as a citizen.  That’s intense stuff right?   What do you think?
